Welcome to my "about me" page. I am so happy you are here!
I married Jerome, a small town Wisconsin boy, a little over 22 years ago. We have one daughter and one son together. Our daughter, Autumn, will be graduated from Winona State University May of 2026 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and will be going for her Master's Degree this fall. Our son, Caiden, graduated from high school in May 2025 and attended CVTC in mechanical maintence and is now in the workforce full time. My family also has two fur-babies that we share our home with. We have a five year old Border Collie/Lab mix named Coco and we have a ten year old tuxedo cat named Malachi.
When I am not taking pictures, I love to travel (by car) when time allows us to. I am not a fan of flying (control issues) or cold weather. I am a summer girl. I also like to hike, bike and take out Coco for walks (weather permitting). I also like to hang out with my family and friends especially around a good bonfire. I have a love for the ocean and sand between my toes...that is heaven to me.
I also like to meet new people. I find that I am more of an observer than a talker. One last tid-bit about me, I love to crank up the music in my car when noone else is in there and I sing my hear out, even if I sing the wrong words sometimes...lol!
I have been photographing Eau Claire area families since 2008. I love watching my clients' children grow, especially during their first year of life when they are changing so rapidly.
I do hope I get the opportunity to meet you and your family, to get to know you, to create some beautiful artwork to decorate your walls with and to help you freeze a moment in your family's life story.
Fun Fact:
When my children were babies I would always display photos of them on the counter of the local print lab I worked for at the time. And, one day a local photographer in Eau Claire noticed the images of my daughter displayed on the counter and asked who took the photos; I answered, "I did." From that moment I learned about studio photography because I knew then that I wanted to help other families preserve their most precious memories of their babies.
Studio Facts about me...
- I have been specializing in newborn photography since 2012 and have attended in person workshops and educational seminars to hone my skills in newborn portrait photography. My portrait work is colorful and simple with a great attention to detail. Clients have dubbed me the "baby whisperer" and often ask if I can go home with them.
- I have completed a newborn safety course with APNPI and has become an accredited qualified newborn photographer. While there is no regulations on newborn safety, newborn safety is my number one priority and I am an insured, licensed portrait studio. I know how important it is to properly pose and keep your baby safe during their session.
- My goal is to make sure you are absolutely in love with your photos!
I think that your favorite portraits are those taken when everyone feels at ease. I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere that allows for real and authentic moments. While working with toddler and adults, I do provide subtle posing cues. My approach is to create a relaxing environment where your family can interact and enjoy each other's company. I want the end result of your portraits to reflect your family's unique personality and conncection. When you lookback at your images five or ten years from now, I hope they will make you smile or at least give your that opportunity to relive those moments that have passed by, by sharing them with your loved ones.
From the moment we begin planning the details of your session to the moment your finished products are delivered, all the details will be taken care of to ensure an enjoyable, professional and memorable portrait experience. I look forward to creating and capturing your family's life story!"
