Hey there! Are you looking to update your family portraits to decorate your home? My style of family portraits are clean, modern and colorful that include posed and loosely posed candid images. I am by no means a dark and moody or lifestyle portrait photographer. I am a bit of a perfectionist to be a lifestyle photographer...lol!

Family sessions are held at my Augusta studio all year round, located a short distance from the Dells Mill Museum, and typically last about 45 minutes to an hour . During the months of June thru October, weather permitting, we can photograph you and your family at an outdoor location within 20 miles of Augusta (I do have a few favorite spots). Outdoor locations can be anywhere you choose - park, beach, field or a new location I haven't discovered yet.

During your family session we will capture the whole family together, mom with kids, dad with kids, kids together and individually. If there are other groupings you would like to do, we can so if there is time and everyone is still willing to do so. I will guide you and your family members every step of the way with posing to ensure we capture stunning images that will become special memories for you and your family to cherish for a lifetime.

Booking a session with me is super easy!

All you need to do is pay the session fee for your family portrait session and fill out a session questionnaire that I will send you. That is it. You do not need to pay anything else until after you have viewed ALL of your images at your reveal and order session.

Once you have seen all your images, you can decide how many images you want to purchase, and whether you would prefer a collection, portrait artwork or a combination of both. There are absolutely no pressure sales, you order what you want and love. I am there to help guide you.

Family Session Retainer Fee - $75

The session retainer fee is due at the time of booking in order to secure your date and time. Please note that this fee does not include prints or digital images, and covers the time and talent of the photographer only.

Book a Family Session

When should I schedule my session?: You can book your family session at any time of the year. I do recommend reserving your family session 2-4 weeks in advance so there is plenty of time for planning.
What should my family wear for our session?: When planning what to wear for your portrait session take into consideration the following:

- What is the style of your home décor?

- What are the color tones in your home?

- Where do you plan to hang your portrait?

- How do you want to feel about the portrait five to ten years from now?

Think about your personal style. Do you love rustic elegance? Or do you enjoy a clean, modern look? Does your home have a relaxed, casual and cozy feeling? Or is it sophisticated and elegant? All of these styles are as unique as our clients and are all things to consider when styling your session. We will discuss clothing further once you have reserved your session.

Grooming tips:

For the moms:

Make sure your nails are well manicured as they will be in the images. Mamas, if you paint your nails, please stay away from bright colors. You don't want your nails to be the focal point of your images. Light neutral colors or French tips are best.

Your skin should be moisturized, eyebrows are groomed, legs are shaved and ditch the hairband and watches from your wrists.

For the Dads:

Stay away from clothing with large logos. No baseball caps.

Make sure your fingernails are clean and well manicures.

Skin should be moisturized, eyebrows are groomed and beards/mustaches are freshly groomed. Ditch the watch off your wrist and the phone from your pockets.

For the kids:

Make sure your child's face and hands are washed an clean. Snot is removed from their noses. And, make sure that their fingernails are clean. No nail polish. Chipped nail polish is an eye sore.

Clothing:

All clothing must be clean and free from stains, wrinkles along with lint/pet hair.
Do you do outdoor family sessions?: Short answer...Yes.

Yes, I also provide outdoor family sessions, I photograph family sessions between the months of June and October. November through May I photograph families at my studio.
How long will my family session last?: That really depends on the size of the family and the ages of said family member. Typically a family session can last between 30-60 minutes.
What is required to book a session?: A session retainer fee is required to formally reserve all sessions.

The retainer fee ensures a confirmed reservation for your session and includes a pre-session consultation, your photography session, and an in-person reveal and ordering session. The session retainer fee is nonrefundable and is separate from any portrait collections or portrait artwork, and allows a smooth portrait experience and all it entails.
Do you do family sessions on the weekend?: Most sessions take place during studio hours. During the summer months, evening sessions are available. And, I set one Saturday a month aside for sessions. Saturday sessions are done mid morning.
What is your rescheduling policy?: If you need to reschedule, please contact me at least 24-48 hours in advance if you won't be able to come in for your scheduled portrait session due to illness or another reason. Even though the session fee is nonrefundable, we can reschedule your session within seven days of your original session.
