It is recommended that you book your session 2-3 mounth in advance.  I take a limited number of clients each month to ensure maximum creativity, flexibility in dates and to minimize turnaround time on orders.

If you recently had your baby, don't worry, it's not too late.  Please contact me as soon as possible and I can usually schedule you in.

Sessions take place at my studio located in Augusta. Family sessions can be done outdoors at a location of your choosing June - September.

Session length depends on the type of shoot. Newborn portrait sessions last about 2.5-3 hours.  Maternity,baby and family portrait sessions last about 45 minutes to an hour, with extra time available when needed to keep things relaxed and stress-free.

You will come back to the studio about a week after your session for an in-person reveal and ordering session.  Once you make your final selection, I will carefully retouch every image you chosen for your order.  Your order will then be sent to a professional lab for printing. Most orders are delivered within 2 to 3 weeks. 

The creation fee for a newborn session is $150 (+tax).

The creation fee for all other session is $75 (+tax).

The creation fee does not include any prints or digital products.  All products are purchased a la carte in addition to the creation fee.  Wall Art starts at $85 with Gift Prints starting at $45.  Matching digital image files are included with any product ordered.

I highly recommend reserving your newborn session once you are in your second trimester to ensure availability.  Your actual session date will be scheduled once your baby arrives.  Newborns are best photographed between 5-14 days old.

Newborn sessions take place Monday - Friday at 9:30am at my studio located just outside of Augusta.

If you have delivered your baby already, I do try to make room for a last minute session when I can.  So, be sure to reserve a newborn session in advance.

Yes!  Yes I do.  I have backdrops, wooden props, headbands,  bonnets, wraps, little outfits and more that are provided for all my newborn and baby milestone sessions.

So, as far as props go, you do not need to bring anything but the baby.  If you do have a special heirloom piece or prop you would like to use, please discuss with me ahead of time so I can incorporate it into the session.

Items to bring for your baby would include a pacifier, a soft blanket, burp cloth, formula/breast milk if your are exclusively bottle feeding and extra diapers/wipes.

I suggest bringing an extra pair of clothes for yourself just in case your baby gets "fluids" on you.

I highly recommend you schedule your maternity session when you reach your second trimester.  Your maternity session will take place between 28-32 weeks of pregnancy.  First time pregnancies can be photographed as late as 35 weeks gestation.  This is when the majority of women still feel comfortable, can still move with ease and their baby bump is visibly showing.

Yes. Yes I do.  I have a small collectiono of gowns and tossing fabrics in my client closet for your to use during your maternity session.

Absolutely!  I can help guide you in choosing outfits that would photograph well together whether your clothing comes from your closet or if you need guidance while shopping for new outfits.  I do have a small selection of clothing for little one's under a year old if you are interested in borrowing a piece. 

MOMS: Simple clothing is best. Soft, pastel colors are a great choice for your newborn session. You can opt for 3/4 or long sleeved tops to keep the focus on the connection between you and your baby.

You can also choose to wear a maternity gown from my client closet for your newborn portraits.  Gowns are great for mommy/baby images and add a simple elegance to your images.

Dad and Children: I recomend that the clothing worn should coordinate with what mom and baby will be wearing.  Choose a color scheme and coordinate the colors so they compliment each other.  Dad should wear a long sleeve shirt and a nice pair of jeans/pants.  Hair/Beard should be trimmed up nicely.  Nails should be manicured.  The older siblings can wear jeans and a nice shirt or dresses for the girls. Just keep it simple with no large patterns. If you need help choosing outfits, let me know and I will help choose what looks best.

If you like color...let's discuss.  There are some guidelines I like to follow.

I highly recommend to stay away from logos and busy designs as it distracting to the eye and can age an image years from now.  

AND...most importantly your clothing must be clean, free from wrinkles and lint AND make sure that everyone's fingernails are manicured nicely as they will be in the images.  Mamas, if you paint your nails, please stay away from bright colors.  You don't want your nails to draw attention away from you or your baby.  Light neutral colors or French tips are best.

Once you have a spot on my calendar, we can schedule a date/time for a clothing consultation. 

If you need to reschedule, please contact me at least 24-48 hours in advance if you won't be able to come in for your scheduled portrait session due to illness or another reason. Even though the session fee is nonrefundable, we can reschedule your session within seven days of your original session.
